College of Metropolitans Churches. December 8, ; d. In the late 18th through early 19th centuries, there was a movement within the Catholic Church of France to restore the longstanding and hidden tradition of classical Gnosticism. This involved numerous ecclesiastics, who were leading Martinist, Masonic, Rosicrucian, and Templar figures.

As a practising Spiritist he had recurring visions of the Divine Feminine ‘aspect ‘. Doinel became convinced that it was his destiny to take part in the restoration of the Divine Feminine aspect and to give it its proper place in religion, the reestablishment of the fallen church of the Sophia.

He apparently was burned later the same year for heresy. Doinel started to become fascinated by the Cathars and their predecessors, the Bogomills, Paulicians, Manicheans, and various other Gnostic movements. He studied their doctrines and became convinced that “Gnosticism was the true religion behind Freemasonry”. In the second half of 19th century France a growing interest in the Cathar-movement had been developed. The Cathar-hype conquered all of France and was of special interest for the Parisian occultists at the end of the 19th century.

Doinel’s contribution to the Cathar-hype at that time was the “legend of the first Gnostic Mass which was held at the parade-ground of the castle of Montsegur”, thus Doinel. One night in Doinel had a vision in which the “Aeon Jesus” appeared. Doinel alleged that he was consecrated that night as a Patriarch by Jesus Christ himself who was assisted by two Bogomil Bishops in this miraculous vision.

Doinel also received instructions to establish a new church. After this miraculous vision Doinel started his attempts to contact Cathar and Gnostic Spirits in seances which were held in the salon of Lady Marie Caithness and her circle, a circle which would later become known in France doinrl the “Societe Theosophique d’Orient et d’Occident”.

These communications with Spirits were received through a pendulum suspended by the Duchess over a board of letters. And the Three are but One: Julfs my Gnostic Church. The Demiurge will be powerless against it. The Duchess organized seances in the same oratorie that over the years served as the “Meditational Sanctuary” of the “Societe d’Theosophique de Paris”. She was one of the first members of the T.

These practises were generally accepted within the Occult movement of the day. Doibel writings of that period which are nowadays considered as “Classics of Occultism” were written “under guidance” or ‘attunement’ of some kind of “spirit”, “hidden Master” etc.

This common trust in these practises and experiences explains the “success” of people such as Jules Doinel. This aspect is generally forgotten nowadays in writings concerning the history of the occult movement at the “fin-de-siecle”… Lady Caithness was of Spanish origin.

She was married to the English Lord Caithness. She’d inherited an incredible fortune after her first husband had died, the Duke of Pomar, and owned i. The palace in Nice became a meeting-place of Spiritists and Occultists. One of the visitors was Helena Petrova Blavatsky, years before she would establish the T.

The circle of Lady Caithness attracted many of the well-known spiritists and occultists of the “French Occult revival” at the end of the 19th century. She considered herself to be the reincarnation of Mary Stuart.

Jules Doinel

Doinel had been a long-time associate of Lady Caithness. In September Doinel allegedly contacted the “Very High Synod of Bishops of the Paraclete”, a synod consisting of 40 Cathar Bishops who “manifested” and gave their names. The names were later checked against records from the National Library and were proven to be accurate.

Doinel was spiritually wed with his “Helene-Ennoia” Simon Magus’ “Sophia”his ‘ Helen’ who would serve as an oracle. He was also ‘ ordered’ to take the Fourth Gospel, “the Gospel of John”, as the holy book of the forthcoming Gnostic Church. Doinel assumed the office of “Patriarch of the Gnostic Church”. Apiryon in “History of the Gnostic Church” Doinel also became a member of its Supreme Roinel Doinel does not appear on the listing of the members of the First Supreme Council of Papus’ Martinist Order ofso I suspect kules his membership of ju,es Supreme Council was of a later date, probably between andthe year of Doinel’s conversion.

The theological doctrine of Doinel’s Gnostic Church Doinel was a mixture of the doctrines of Simon Magus, Valentinus and the Valentinian Marcus the Valentinians, “who claim not only lineage from Paul, but also that he has imparted to them certain esoteric knowledge that is the foundation of their theology. The Valentinians claim succession from Paul’s disciple Theudas sometimes referred to as Theodotus to the sect’s founder Valentinus” Source: The sacraments were derived from the Cathar Church i.

Doinel considered the Gnostic Cathar Church to be the “depository of the esoteric knowledge of the Bible”.

But julss Jules Doinel it is much more than that, in Doinel ‘s conception the Gnosis is the “complete and definitive synthesis of all beliefs and concepts of humanity with regard to it’s origin, past, present and future, it’s aim and goal, its nature and “survival”.

Doinel’s “Consolamentum” and the “Appareilamentum” are, besides the Cathar symbolism, having correspondences with the so-called “Rituel de Lyons” which was discovered in at the National Library Medieval Archives. Doinel emphasized the fallen state of matter in the rituals of the Church, its opposite state being the higher perfect order of the Pleroma.

Doinel also proclaimed that the Gnostic Church was intended to present a system of mystical Masonry. The ‘Gnosis of Valentinus’ contained i. Valentine’s doctrine of the threefold classification of mankind: Nules One The re-establishment of the hierarchy permits the Restoration of gnostic symbolism. Article Five The Appareillamentum is the exclusive privilege of the patriarchal jhles. Article Six “L’Initiation” will repeatedly publish the three rituals.

Article Seven The Martinist Order is declared to be of gnostic essence. By mandate of his grace and of jupes Very Holy Synod. The referendiary Deacon Enforceable The Very Doindl Pleromabeing invokedwe ordain that the aforementioned decree of the Very Holy Gnostic Synod will be put into action in the assemblies. Other texts which were for use within the Doinnel ‘congregation’ published by Doinel: Origen was one of the founders of the Catholic Church and a former Gnostic”, thus Fr.

Navitae unfortunately no source available. The first years of existence of Doinel’s Gnostic Church were rather turbulent mainly due to the unstable personality of its founder, Jules Stany Doinel.

Then suddenly in or at the end ofDoinel converted to Roman Catholicism. Tau Charles Harmonius II states: Doinel left the Church he had created, resigned from his Masonic Lodge, and started to write articles in which he denounced the organizations that were once so dear to him. Doinel collaborated with Leo Taxil G.

Jules Doinel – Alchetron, The Free Social Encyclopedia

Jogand-Pages julrs, who had started the notorious offensive against Freemasonry and “other similar organizations” in the ‘s. According to Taxila former mason he had been expelled from the orderthese organizations were doinek in nature and were secrently controlled by the “Order of the Palladium”, allegedly headed by Albert Pike. In Taxil admitted that the story was a hoax at the expense of the Church of Rome.

Doinel supposedly wrote this book with a co-author, againLeo Taxil there’s no proof for the assumption made. An excerpt taken from page of “Lucifer Unmasked”: This ritual is known within this rite as the”rituel d’armement”. Doinel’s pseudo-name ‘ Jean Kostka’ was derived from the name of a 16th century early deceased hero of the Polish Jesuits, Stanislas Kostka. The Polish Jesuit is mentioned in a private correspondence between the French novelist J.

Huysmans and Jules Doinel. Both men converted to Roman Catholicism and in Huysmans describes Doinel in a private correspondence as “a very educated doinl intelligent man” who had finally devoted his life to ‘God’. Huysmans describes Doinel in in a private correspondence addressed to Adolphe Berthet iules Jules Esquirol, dated January 2, as a man who’s pride could not support to live a life of a simple Christian. Doinel had requested his readmission as a Bishop in the Gnostic Church in ….

It is interesting to note that there exists an ‘alternative’ explanation for Doinel’s return to the Gnostic church. The explanation is quite simple, Doinel actually never abandoned his Gnostic belief. It is stated that Doinel ‘collaborated’ with Taxil to expose all the lies and superstition that were circulating at the time with regard to the movement of initiatic organizations, including ‘his’ Gnostic Church.

It is said that Doinel’s statement with regard to his “defection” is documented. Fabre des Essarts It is stated that Doinel’s decision doine leave the Gnostic Church in caused a lot of problems but the Church ‘somehow’ managed to survive. The Synod of Bishops assumed the control of the Church and in or depending on which source one uses, P.

Koenig in his article “Stranded Bishops” claims as the year in which “Doinel surrendered his office to the Martinist L. The Sacred Synod uules once again held in the oratorie of Lady Caithness, who was to die in November Houssay, started to julds with Louis-Sophrone Fugairon Tau Sophronius to develop the Gnostic Church and julee new elements into its teachings.

Richard which took place on March 1st, It is also stated that another lineage was included in the Gnostic Synod ofit was the lineage of doindl “Eglise Chretiens Primitifs de Saint Jean” which came from Mgr.

The Gnostic Church of France of was known under various titles and apparently julfs its name several times: It is striking that the “Protocol of the M:: In the first French translation of the “Pistis Sophia” had been published by E.

At the time, the protagonists of the Gnostic Church advocated a church-doctrine which contents seemed to be a hotch-potch of various ancient teachings.

The advocated “doctrine” was also constantly changing and therefore it was decided to re-establish order into the apparent “chaos” of teachings by means of Sophronius’ Catechism. At the beginning of the book the “Pistis Sophia” is mentioned, but the complex system of the contents of the “Pistis Sophia” is not given juless attention it deserves and is only superficially dealt with. More attention is given to Simon the Magus and the Valentinians.

Schmitt considered the French Neo-Gnostic Church to be superficial ; a church which view lacked any “depth”. Schmitt was probably an academic researcher not well acquainted with the world of esotericism and occult organizations although he corresponded with Doinel.

But his remark on the superficiality of the French Neo-Gnostics is characteristic of his ignorance. Nevertheless, that does not mean his “criticism” was not fundamental. In Doinel died. It is said that after Doinel’s reconsecration he once more became apostolate, so the question remains:

Modern schools of ninjutsu are schools which offer instruction in martial arts. To a larger or smaller degree, the curriculum is derived from the practice of ninjutsuthe arts of the ninja ; covert agents or assassins of feudal Japan. One of the earliest modern schools to ubgei established was the Bujinkan Organization in by martial artist Masaaki Hatsumi.

The organization teaches nine different martial arts styles, three of which are named after and claim to be descended from historical ninjutsu styles. Hayes, an early student of Shoto Tanemura and later Hatsumi, took what he learned to the United States in the s, bugel his own group of organizations called Quest Centers and his own martial arts style, To-Shin Do.

Several other schools of ninjutsu also were created during the s, including the Dux Ryu Ninjutsu school in and the Nindo Ryu Bujutsu Kai federation in During the s, several other schools of ninjutsu also began to be developed across the world, with the Genbukan being founded in in Japan by Shoto Tanemura, a former friend and student of Hatsumi, and the AKBAN school being developed in Israel in by Doron Navon’s student, Yossi Sherriff, as an offshoot of the Bujinkan Organization.

The emphasis of the training in this particular school, is based upon genbukxn combat skills for our butei environment. InMasaaki Hatsumi founded the Bujinkan organization. He studied with Shoto Tanemura and then with Masaaki Hatsumi. Hayes introduced the concepts of ninjutsu to North America. He founded a ninjutsu dojo in the mids, in Atlanta, Georgia. In aboutHayes moved to Dayton, Ohio where he continued to teach.

The “Nindo Ryu Bujutsu Kai” is a martial arts federation founded in It has a gendai ninjutsu division under the direction of Carlos R. Febres was a former student of Shoto Tanemura and T.

Such as inin Israel, Yossi Sheriff founded Akban. The school’s curriculum is based on that which was taught bubei Doron Navon Sheriff’s teacher. Navon was the first foreign Bujinkan shihan. Gehbukan studied with Tanemura and then with Hatsumi. Tanemura left Ninpi tutelage after a disagreement. The Kokusai Jujutsu Renmei international organization also teaches traditional Japanese Jujutsu techniques. Inin IsraelYossi Sheriff founded Akban. Nuno Genbukam Shihan started the project in In the Stephen K.

Hayes retired the Shadows of Iga society, and founded the “Quest Centers”. This school was founded by Fumio “Unsui” Manaka in Manaka was a personal student of Masaaki Hatsumi bugeii achieved “Menkyo Kaiden” in several styles of Bujinkan Budo Taijutsu; including togakure-ryu ninjutsu.

Founded by a group of Military Veterans with backgrounds in various martial arts in Ninjutsu became the main focus of study along with survival training. The society provides qualifications in ninjutsu and firearms along with Private Security services Shinobi Securitythen Body Guard and Bounty Hunter training for members.

Concerns about modern schools of ninjutsu relate to the schools’ claims to authenticity direct lines of tutelage from the ancient schools and secondly, to claims of notability by those who operate them. The concerns about authenticity are voiced by historians of koryu arts and by representatives of the Iga Ninja Museum of Japan.

Some have suggested there are no longer any true ninjutsu schools. In AugustMasaaki Hatsumi stated that he nino studied under Takashi Ueno from the age of 24 to InNawa confirmed the historical status of the 12th century tradition of the togakure ryu. Kawakami runs a dojo in Sagamihara-shi, Kanagawa Prefecturebut no ninoo accepts new students. The validity of Dux’s claims which have been disputed include his martial arts credentials; his fighting in the “Kumite”; and his prior military service.

Modern schools of ninjutsu

Roger Small, genbbukan a seasoned martial artist with many years of experience in the art of ninjutsu and also various other far eastern fighting arts. Having researched this school in depth, it has to be said, that although the techniques and skills that are taught are performed from a modern perspective, the underlying principles and movement behind these techniques are unmistakably Ninpo-Taijutsu. Not buhei else is known about him other than somehow being of Japanese and Vietnamese descent.

He was a little-known, self-proclaimed, Ninjutsu practitioner who popped up sometime around in Los Angeles, CA. He did not advertise, nor did he erect a big school. He gave private-lessons in his back yard and mostly applied his skills in Aikido and Jujitsu along with concepts gnbukan Ninjutsu.

To date, he has never claimed lineage to ancient Ninja schools nor has he claimed lineage to any past historical Ninjutsu figures. He taught what he considered to be the true essence of Ninjutsu which according to him is “whatever the Ninja would do if you took a time machine and threw them in today’s world”. No evidence is available recording where Ashida Kim’s training took place, or who trained him.

Ashida Kim is the author of a number of books about Ninjitsu including Secrets of the Ninja. In the same article he indicates that the BDFS is descended from a 6,year-old Chinese school called the “Polestar school” which has been preserving knowledge since the fall of Atlantis. Featuring a stylish led design and a super lightweight construction yet durablethis is a fine beringer for its price. It is also a metronome, which is helpful in rehearsal or even performance situations. It behringerr up clearly and easily to be seen in the gehringer of a club.

The internal computer allows for memorized settings as well as various modes making this more than just a rack tuner. It should be mentioned however that Behringer gear, on the low-end, can be a little fragile, however once this is racked it shouldn’t be removed too often so it will stay safe, it’s just that some of their gear has some kind of hard plastic stuff they use and it can easily take on scrapes, mars and even in some cases, knobs are usually found to be falling off or breaking.

This isn’t the care with this tuner, though. Its internal driven rack is solid and much thought was btg into the function 0200 this for the working musician. A band that tunes at a different note than concert A will find this unit helpful as it will memorize the setting of their detuned behringeg and consider it ‘A’ when they tune, allowing for a quick job.

There is also lines in and out for foot pedals, making this an option when playing live. In the studio it’s ideal for any instrument. Most other models, while of similar or better quality, can’t seem to match price with functionability as Behringer does. Their lower end products accurately find the ebhringer hole and fill them in; whether it be a multi-use tuner for the rack or a 4 channel phantom powered mixer for an acoustic singer, it seems as though Behringer is a good company for that.

Just beware that their hardware can usually buckle under a bit of strenuous activity. This rack unit should provide years of reliable use, taken care of. Did you find this review helpful? I have been a bassist for over 22 yrs. I fell in love with it and since have acquired more Behringer products. I play a Tobias Standard 6-string and the rackmount tuner responds very accurately to it!

User reviews: Behringer Racktuner BTR – Audiofanzine

It also has a very nice lighting feature that lights up my whole rig and that makes it very easy to see during a gig I gig no less than 12 times a month and this product has been right on it each time I completely, fullheartedly recommend this product to any bassist needing an awesome tuning component.

This review was originally published on http: The BTR looked beefier than Kong behringeer much cheaper than sabine. If this is true if the Hz capped atand no, it is not a problem of user setting. I therefore serves to illuminate the rack, in any case up to that the remaining two bulbs fart too.

I may keep the housing and the guts to side projects, but I’m afraid that all components are vermin. Seriously, save your money! Provided by the person beheinger sold me my amp, so used. In principle the machine is attractive, it makes a nice little light on the amp head, mute possibility to grant without noise In practice and for my copy of the tuner does not work at all.

With my active bass note detection behinger random with a very long latency, with passive bass and guitar, nehringer detection I read and reread the manual f. So either the stuff is lousy from the start, or it has a reliability problem. So this is obviously not a device that I recommend. Very good tuner if one takes the trouble to look a bit on its operation. It is visible from afar, it illuminates the rest of the rack, and he incidentally tuner.

All user reviews for the Behringer Racktuner BTR2000

There are probably other better, but for the price Little info anyway, I play drop B, A or even G 1 title actually and I just always sounds compared to the colleague who uses his Korg rack.

Two years that I use. I bought this gadget because it allows me to verification of a simple phone if I am given, to enlighten my box and use the metronome. Handy for checking the tuning except it is far from clear anda bit long to relax on the lower nickel on the guitar Just USUN a gas at first but got used to it quickly. The main quality of this gear is that it illuminates much all devices in the rack. In conclusion, it is a light rack luxury because in addition, she metronome and can eventually help give its instrument.

Bref to be seen as a gimmick interesting and useful little s’averrer. J likes value for money and small loupiotte to illuminate the rack. Indeed, there are a few cold delay in behringet of the correctness of the note. But if it behrinegr done in the trouble, open the manual and you use potassium! I am a bass player, so it must be configured for low. Also, adjust the sensitivity of the tuner as stated in the manual. And while walking niquel, with very little latency!

I bought this tuner rack there about 2 weeks Excelent behringr With Berhinger, s should not expect miracles, and yet Buy on a website used equipment, specifications were enticing. Except that it is absolutely and totally unusable unreactive live to agree quickly.

On a 7-string expected nothing from it. I replaced it with a korg pedal tuner is the day and night. It serves me today for my rack lighting effect, the only thing he can do. I use it for 2 years. I tried Boss pedals, I have a 2000 on my pod xt live, and being a violinist I know to give me the ear to give me a little “the”. I would hesitate perhaps with a CT Polytune for my guitar, even if it is different because it’s a pedal. Cookies help us improve performance, enhance user experience and deliver our services.
