Every chapter is basically a story that the psychotherapist is telling to his patient Damien and every story has a hidden meaning. Because, no matter how inspiring the stories are, there is a slight chance of you actually remembering all of them and putting them into actions. It’s a must reread, but first it goes to my dad becouse he is very like Jorge in the book. Good book for therapeutical work Yet, it can have therapeutic value in that it creates a space to allow the readers to reflect on their own emotional world.
My all time favorite book, after Crime and Punishment from Dostoyevsky. Very simply written and very light. It probably helps if you relate to Demian the protagonist.
The lower rating is a result of me not liking the main character Demian. I don’t usually choose to read or like reading that genre of books but I fell in love with this one. But it touches upon so many things only briefly.
View all 3 comments. I advise you to read it slowly, savoring it like a fine wine and leaving the moral hidden in each chapter resonates through your head deja,e an echo throughout the day, this will make you reflect more deeply into every psychological tip that Bucay tries to teach us.
More just a nice evening read to keep you company and comfort you after a long day.

Made me reflect on feelings and questions I am confronted with often. If I ever need therapy for some kind of reason, Jorge Bucay is the man where I would go to, even without being ye to need treatment.
The stories are brilliantly told, and what makes them even better is Jorge carefully choosing them and adressing them to each of Demian’s hardships. His books have sold more than 2 million copies around the world, and have been translated into more than cuuente languages. One of the best books I have ever read.
Paperbackpages. Many of these stories are a classic Paperbackpages. It made me emotional quite a lot of times. There are no discussion topics on this book yet.
