I can’t say that I have forgiven everything and everyone magically in 21 days, l I was really starting to get into EFT tapping when I found this book, so I was glad to see the whole book uses tapping to let go of negative emotions and forgive. Even in the midst of total chaos, pain, and oyanla, love is calling us to a higher experience and expression. I was not required to write a positive review.
I received this book as a first reads winner and I am so happy I did. But this book changed my life.

Vanzant ends her book with a final act: As I worked through all the accounts, it became fun as I realized I had over three times the amount I had originally figured. I think it might have been worthwhile to include a more comprehensive overview of the actual tapping process for the complete beginner within this book, so that it could stand on its own as a start to finish guide for someone looking to feel confident about tapping along with the workbook exercises.
While I enjoyed the forgiveness stories preceding each tapping exercise, when I first started reading the book I was surprised that the chapters didn’t contain more general information on the forgiveness issues people might have with their mother, father, partner, etc. Our work is to learn to accept what we feel and to learn to let it pass. Just reading brought to the surface a few things I was not even aware of. It is not easy to look into yourself and examine the pain you have caused and the pain you have experienced.
Not forgiving a person or situation that you retain in your mind can lead to harmful stress. Forgiveness is a true path to freedom that can renew faith, build trust, and nourish the soul.

I liked that the book forgveness small and separated into 21 chapters, so that this book was a daily devotional. The forgiveness exercises begin with a forgiveness vanzwnt, followed by an exercise of writing personalized forgiveness statements tailored to the individual reader’s unique forgiveness needs in their own relationships, all leading up to the tapping sequences. Many times we are unable to forgive ourselves for our past mistakes or for allowing others to mistreat us or to hurt us.
I probably needed to read a whole other book on tapping before reading this book. I finished reading through without doing the work so I can’t speak to the effectiveness of this process. I’m giving it 3 stars for now because I do like the premise of it and I hope more people can learn how to forgive, for vanzaht own sake.
