Atlas supports writing in AsciiDoca text document format for writing among other things books, ebooks, and documentation. AsciiDoc files in Atlas can be edited using the Code Editor. This section illustrates some of the most common elements used in writing technical documentation. Regular paragraph text does not need any special markup in AsciiDoc. Just add a blank line both above and below each paragraph, and the first word in the paragraph should not have a space before it.

Here are some example paragraphs in AsciiDoc:. To learn how to add inline markup such as italics to your text see the Inline Markup section. The top of each chapter file should begin with a chapter title preceded by two equals signs.

It’s good practice to always include a unique ID string above the chapter title, surrounded in double brackets, for example:. There are multiple ways to mark up heading levels in AsciiDoc. We’ve chosen our favorite “delimited” style to show you below, but feel free to use the two-line underlined heading style if you prefer. The levels described in the AsciiDoc User Guide can be confusing: If you want to group your chapters into parts, you can do so by creating a new asciidoc file for example, part1.

Once you have created the part file, include it in the Build Contents on the Configure page before the first chapter you wish to be included in the part. A preface file should begin with the word preface in single brackets, followed on the next line by two equals signs and the preface title:. A foreword file should begin with the word foreword in single brackets, followed on the next line by two equals signs and the foreword title:. The markup for an Afterword is similar to the preface markup, but it has an additional role attribute with a value of “afterword”.

Cheat Sheet for AsciiDoc Markdown

A dedication file should begin with the word dedication in single brackets, followed by a blank line and then the dedication title and text. The title must be present, but it will not render in the output:. Dedication pages render on their own page at the beginning of the book, before the table of contents. A glossary file should begin with the word glossary in double brackets, followed by the glossary title and a blank line.

Following the blank line should be another instance of the word glossarythis time in single brackets. Each glossary entry should consist of one glossary term, followed by two colons and a space, then the glossary definition.

To designate a file as an appendix, simply add the word appendix in single brackets at the top of the file.

Immediately below it should be the title of the Appendix. For books with multiple contributors, you may want an author name to appear with each chapter. O’Reilly house style is to place the name of the chapter contributor below the chapter heading, so you can simply add the following markup as a separate paragraph between the chapter title and first paragraph of content:.

You can also use this same markup for forewords, prefaces, and appendixes. Please note that contributor names in a foreword will render preceded by an em dash, since house style places foreword author bylines at the end of the foreword.

Italic text indicates new terms, URLs, email addresses, filenames, and file extensions. The AsciiDoc markup is one underscore character on either side of the text to be italic. To mark a a few letters of a word in italics, or a word that abuts a non-whitespace character, double up the underscore characters on either side of the text, like this: Bolded text is used to emphasize a word or phrase.

The AsciiDoc markup is one asterisk on either side of the text to be bolded. Please note that O’Reilly house style prefers italics for emphasis. To mark a partial word in bold, or a word that abuts a non-whitespace character, double up the asterisk characters on either side of the text, like this: Constant width, or monospaced, text is used for code, as well as within paragraphs to refer to program elements such as variable or function names, databases, data types, environment variables, statements, and keywords.

The AsciiDoc markup is one plus sign on either side of the text to monospaced. To mark a partial word in constant width, or a word that abuts a non-whitespace character, double up the plus signs on either side of the text, like this: Monospaced and bolded text is used to show commands or other text that should be typed literally by the user.

The AsciiDoc markup is one asterisk and one plus sign on either side of the text. To mark a partial word in constant width bold, or a word that abuts a non-whitespace character, double up the markup on either side of the text, like this: Monospaced and italicized text indicates where text should be replaced with user-supplied values or by values determined by context.

The AsciiDoc markup is one underscore and two plus signs on either side of the text. To mark a partial word in constant width italic, or a word that abuts a non-whitespace character, double up the underscore markup on either side of the text, like this: For hyperlinks to external sources, just add the full URL string followed by brackets containing the text you’d like to appear with the URL. The bracketed text will become a clickable link in web versions.

In print versions, it will appear in the text, followed by the actual URL in parenthesis. You have the option of using note, tip, warning, and caution elements for supplemental information. You may also notice that some of the admonitions below have a title. We do support optional titles in admonitions. Tip Title line in the markup below.

This is how warnings render. Warnings can be used for including supplemental information in your text. Including a warning title is optional. This is how cautions render. Cautions can be used for including supplemental information in your text. To create a footnote, place the footnote macro directly after the text where the note number should appear, with no space between.

Footnotes at the end of a sentence belong after the period:. For an example of the footnote rendering, see the first paragraph in this section. You should see the content of the note rendering at the bottom of the page.

The text of the quote itself should appear immediately below, with four underscore characters above and below it. Full figure markup should include a unique ID attribute, so the figure can be cross-referenced see Cross-References for more info on using cross-references.

Please note the figure IDs should be unique throughout the book. Please keep in mind that in addition to having no title, these figures will also have no figure number and cannot be cross-referenced in the body of the text. To improve accessibility in your ebook files, please consider adding alt-text to the images.

To do this, just add the descriptive text in quotes inside the brackets, which are at the end of the image markup:. While it should not be necessary in most circumstances, you can control the size of an image in the PDF output by adding an absolute value of width or height, like so:.

Note that the final item in the list has multiple paragraphs. Note that a single vertical bar character is used to separate each box in the table.

The Atlas book-building toolchain supports syntax highlighting via Pygments. You need only add [source] above each code block that should include syntax highlighting, and specify the language of the code.

Here is the markup if you want to add syntax highlighting to a formal code block—note the placement ascjidoc [source] is the same:.

Pygments supports a wide variety of languages that can be used in [source] ; see the full cheaf available on the the Pygments website. Ebook readers that do not have color screens asciisoc still display the highlighting, but in more subtle shades of gray. There are two ways to include external code files. You can include an external file that is text-only no markup like line annotations or inline formattingor you can include an external file marked up with valid XHTML, which can contain inline markup.

Callouts will work aaciidoc either method. To include an external code file that is text-only no inline markup besides calloutsuse the include:: For info about using callouts with your external AsciiDoc code file, see Code callouts.

AsciiDoc Home Page

To include an external file that contains inline markup e. In our example, which might look something like this:.

Code callouts are used to mark specific lines of code with icons keyed to explanatory text outside asdiidoc code block.

These icon pairs function as bidirectional links sueet electronic PDF and downstream formats i. The output will include callouts numbers in the code, followed by a numbered list, as shown here:. To use code callouts with an external AsciiDoc code file, add the callout text items below the code block, like so:.

All references to titled block elements and book components—figures, tables, examples, sections, chapters, parts, and so on—should be marked up as cross-references, not entered as plain text. Cross-reference markup will become a shet hyperlink to the target in digital versions and will resolve automatically if you move numbered elements figures, chapters, etc.

Note the id of the element you are referencing. If the element does not have an idyou will need to add one. For the book to be valid, id s must be unique across the entire book, have no spaces, and not start with a number.

For example, a figure id looks like this:. Once you have the idyou can insert a cross-reference to that element elsewhere in the text by enclosing the id in double angle brackets, like so:. AsciiDoc supports two types of passthroughs:. For inlines, you can indicate a passthrough at any time by adding this passthrough markup within the text paragraph:.

See Troubleshooting Inline Markup for examples of inline passthroughs. Atlas supports math equations set as LaTeX. For inline LaTeX equations, use the latexmath: This section describes how to create an automatically generated index in AsciiDoc.

I would say I am little disappointed. Recommended to Anuradha by: Notify me of new comments via email. However, as with all love stories, ravinnder one too had some heartbreaks.

Nothing worth reading anyway. Unfortunately for a whole wide range of reasonsthe book shop had his sequel”Can love happen twice?

Can Love Happen Twice? by Ravinder Singh

You will question if the same author have penned both the books! May 26, Anand rated it really liked it. Quotes from Can Love Happen T Here’s what I thought of the book – 1. Ravin was happn deeply in love with Khushi whom he lost in an accident and he falls in love with another girl in Belgium, just upon seeing her. Dec 27, Ashish Iyer rated it liked it Shelves: The second book though the author seems to have gotten a better flare at it and forced me to finish it in a day An intriguing part of the book is when the author actually talks about how the meaning and definition of love bby changed for this generation The story line- a little predictable however Ravin is the kind of person and love a lot of people would like to have hapoen their lives.

The first two of dafasheet are dual versions series and parallel of the general positive feedback system. A noisy Schmitt Trigger input signal near one threshold can cause only one switch in output value, after which it would have to move beyond the other threshold in order to cause another switch.

So, it can be converted to a Schmitt trigger by connecting an additional base resistor R to one of the inputs Q1 base in the figure. The output voltage always has the same sign as the op-amp input voltage but it does not always have the same sign as the circuit input voltage the signs of the two input voltages can differ.

This series positive feedback creates the needed hysteresis that is controlled by the proportion between the resistances of R 1 and the whole resistance R 1 and R 2.

The effective voltage applied to the op-amp input is floating so the op-amp must have a differential input. With only one input threshold, a noisy input signal [nb 4] near that threshold could cause the output to switch rapidly back and forth from noise alone. For example, an amplified infrared photodiode may generate an electric signal that switches frequently between its absolute lowest value and its absolute highest value.

In contrast with the parallel version, this circuit does not impact on the input source since the source is separated from the voltage divider output by the high op-amp input differential impedance.

The voltage across R E rises, further reducing dataaheet Q1 base-emitter potential in the same avalanche-like manner, and Q1 ceases to conduct.

Crossing down the low threshold. Its value is approximately. They incorporate input-protection circuitry that prevent the inverting and non-inverting inputs from operating far away from each other.

Examples are the timer and the switch debounce circuit. Again, there is a positive feedback but now it datashfet concentrated only in the memory cell. It is an active circuit which converts an analog input signal to a digital output signal. In the non-inverting configuration, when the input is higher than a chosen threshold, the output is high. Two different unidirectional thresholds are assigned dztasheet this case to two separate open-loop comparators without hysteresis driving a bistable multivibrator latch or flip-flop.

dataaheet Retrieved from ” https: This dual threshold action is called hysteresis and implies that the Schmitt trigger possesses memory and can act as a bistable multivibrator latch or flip-flop. Crossing up the high threshold. The transfer characteristic has exactly the same shape of the previous basic configuration, and the threshold values are the same as well.

Here there is no virtual ground, and the steady op-amp output voltage is applied through R 1 -R 2 network to the input source. In this arrangement, attenuation and summation are separated: Dynamic threshold series feedback: However, if the input voltage is within the hysteresis cycle between the high and low thresholdsthe circuit can be inverting as well as non-inverting. The input voltage is applied to the inverting input; the output voltage of the voltage divider is applied to the non-inverting input thus determining its threshold.

This parallel positive feedback creates the needed hysteresis that is controlled by the proportion between the resistances of R 1 and R 2. From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia. The trigger is toggled high when the input voltage crosses down to up the high threshold and low when the input voltage crosses up to down the low threshold. The output of the parallel voltage summer is single-ended it produces voltage with respect to ground so the circuit does not need an amplifier with a differential input.

These voltages are fixed as the output voltage and resistor values are fixed. For the NPN transistors shown on the right, imagine the input voltage is below the shared emitter voltage high threshold for concreteness so that Q1 base-emitter junction is reverse-biased and Q1 does not conduct.

The two resistors R C2 and R E form another voltage divider that determines the high threshold.

Schmitt trigger

Schmitt trigger devices are typically used in signal conditioning applications to remove noise from signals used in digital circuits, particularly mechanical contact bounce in switches. Conversely, comparators are designed under the assumption that the input voltages can differ significantly. The result, which is shown on the right, is that the output automatically oscillates from V SS to V DD as the capacitor charges from one Schmitt trigger threshold to the other.

Like every latch, the fundamental collector-base coupled bistable circuit possesses a hysteresis. This avalanche-like process continues until Q1 becomes completely turned on saturated and Q2 turned off.

And even if we say that he took a man and heracliedes he changed the nature of the man into his own ousia, did he not set aside the victory of the things which are rejected, which constitute man? Since the Son is man and God, it says that God sent his Son and he was born of a woman; and therein thou seest that the name is put which indicates both the natures.

Then you deprive us in truth of the Christian faith as heathens or Manichaeans who stumble at the Cross of Christ. After the former had prepared an English translation of the whole work, the manuscript was handed over to the latter, who read it carefully through; the difficulties were then jointly discussed. Either therefore condemn my words and his or, in accordance with his, consider me also innocent, since I confess all things. Or, as I have said, [the truth is] that he is not one thing and another, in that Christ exists not apart from God bzzaar Word nor again God the Word apart from Christ, but he indicates one thing and another, because Christ is of God the Word and of humanity by union, whereas God the Word is one nature and not of both natures, and it is not his by union to become God the Word.

Why dost thou wish that there should be an hypostatic union, which makes us neither understand that there is [in the union] the ousia of man nor understand [that he is] man in nature but God the Word in nature, that is, God who is not in nature what he is in his nature through the hypostatic union, if there are no distinctions and definitions of the various [elements].

Seeing then that a certain number of errors can be charged to the account of the Syriac translator and proved against him, it is not too bold to assume in a few passages similar mistakes.

Very few of Nestorius’ writings survive.

But from what can this be proved? But if thou sayest that the one, whose it is not to suffer in his nature, has suffered in nature, it is a folly to say that he has suffered in another nature; but he who comes to folly surely deceives, and like the Manichaeans makes our very salvation to have taken place in deception. The Church Heracleies.

The Bazaar Of Heracleides

Leo says the trouble is due to Dioscorus and Juvenal of Jerusalem, and can easily be settled without a Council, which would be difficult to arrange owing to the invasion of the Huns. Since then the children have participated in the flesh and the blood, he also has participated likewise in the same things? Translation of the Syriac Fragments of Nestorius.

And said he not of God the Father he who is with the Father? By whom then are these united in nature?

Nestorius, The Bazaar of Heracleides () pp Book 1 Part 2.

But if no one has used this phrase, thou hast risen up against them all to introduce into the Faith with boldness a heracleidws phrase which has not been accepted. Speak before all those who read our words. For this [union] is as one that suppresses the natures, and I accept it not.

But he has taken it for him, not as though again two sons were sitting but one, owing to the union with his flesh.

But how do you say concerning me that I separate the union by distance of space, since Bazwar say: But I can, if God wills and gives me that which ought to be said [in order] to instruct according to my own ability.

Therefore thou wilt not call God the Word flesh nor the flesh Son.

For there would not have been any [union] of these, if one of these natures had been left out. Diverse are the natures which have come unto a true union; but from them both [there has resulted] one Christ and Son, not because the diversity in the natures has been abolished by reason of the union, but because they have perfected for us rather one Lord and Messiah and Son. The Cyrillians cannot get their messages through to the Emperor owing to the activities of Candidianus and Nestorian agents.

Citing articles via Google Scholar. Reflect on him, now in glory and now in the sufferings of man, since as God he teaches the things of God, because he is the Word, but as man he teaches the things of man, since he speaks in our own ousia.

That which each one of them by its nature cannot accept, such as the sufferings and the activity, it has accepted in the natural heracleidds by mixture, by one sensibility. Others again confess that God was made flesh in the flesh as a complement of nature instead of the soul.

What after all is the nature in this natural union which you predicate? Because of the height of his condescension to him who has been altogether sinful, he came in contempt and in scorn and in lowliness and he was not ashamed of the scorn for the sake of the advantage.

Art thou angered with me on account of this? Chaldean Catholic Church.

Nestorius, The Bazaar of Heracleides — now online

And whom in ousia? Hercleides so it was no more through the death of God, nay rather, if God had been condemned to death, if he had willed to avoid it he would have set it aside without his own death rather than through a schema of death. What need was there for a Council, when this man was everything? For Satan had heracleidrs commission from God to make him 72 disobedient to him, but to convince God that his own man was disobedient to him. Confess then the taker as oc took, and the taken as he was taken, wherein [each is] one and in another, and wherein [there is] one and not two, after the same manner as the manner hrracleides the Trinity.

For what purpose then dost thou calumniate the fathers? It was noticed in the last decade of the nineteenth century by two German scholars, 9 and attention was called to it by Dr. The question of the XII Anathematisms is left unmentioned by both sides. So they are 84 constrained to say the contrary of what they seek to say, so that they accuse God and make excuse for the evil one, and they put forth all [their] might in vain and reason contrary to the incarnation of God.

Let us not entirely neglect this point, although thou dost wish to run over it as one which is confessed. But it is not possible for one who is naturally united to escape; for if he were not naturally to suffer the sufferings heracleifes the body, he would suffer them as heracleidew soul instead of the soul, because he is instead of the soul which reflected not as intelligence and whose in its reflection he was instead of intelligence.
