The story, however, is still good and I really enjoyed reading it. Sadly, we never hear from Sephy, which was a mqlorie disappointment. Not that her writing is inaccessible to adults, just for me it was harder to go back to the point where I left off in this continuing story.
Callie is a lot blackmwn likeable in this book than she is in Checkmate which is good however, towards the end you start to hate Tobey, which changes the roles a bit. Callie loves Tobey and Blacman loves Callie and when she gets shot you see how Tobey learns to grow without her and how his calculates his revenge.
Speaking of which, did anyone else see the parallels? It’s so gripping, hard-hitting, action packed and I became obsessed.
