It would be awesome if this was the book taught in the classroom setting to those wanting to train athletes.
Published January 1st by Supertraining Institute first published May 1st Supertraining has been published an updated over nearly two decades. A staff member and scientific interpreter at one of these institutes, Linna Moratcheva, served as an invaluable link between the author and his Russian colleagues, organising working meetings and willingly devoting much of her time to translating many of the difficult concepts. There’s a reason why Supertraining is hailed as the bible– or closest to one– as this basically made most books in my shelf or anyone’s library redundant.

His Masters degree Applied Mathematics was awarded summa cum laude in brain research and his PhD was in supertrwining, specialising in biomechanics. It also offers unique systems and methods of Soviet training along with recommendations for when and in what scenario, or what sport, each system or method should be used.
This book is not yet featured on Listopia. If you start reading this book, it’s only real limitation will become blatantly obvious. May his contributions live on. I know he had a bad ticker. Terrible news, if true I truly hope this hasn’t happenned. Anyone know the cause of death?

Verkhoshanksy is easily one of the most respected and admired Coaches of the 20th Century. Refresh and try again. Jesse Rupp rated it it was amazing Ml 02, In my opinion I would suggest anyone who trains or is training athletes to have this book.
Michael Yessis and Yuri Verkhoshansky in translating Russian studies and coaching texts and writing books together themselves.
He’s the one who pointed out to mwl that fitness and health were two different things. Verkhoshansky and Siff are also sometimes a little too ‘scientific’ for a casual coach, using terminology like ‘the motor eupertraining instead of simply saying the ‘body’ or ‘arm’.
