Book 29 of the African Writer’s Series depicts the despotic, cruel treatment of native Cameroonians in French Cameroun, the former League of Nations’s mandate. Toundi is compelled to act as a go-between for the two. Oyono’s writing style is simple and poetic at times, I loved the form through which the story is told- a diary and I particularly loved the way the main chara Colonialism in Cameroon through the eyes of a houseboy.

It is often times also painful, moving. There are still similar issues, but we cannot assume they arise from the same causes.

It gives you thrill reading through journey, its open up your personal eyes efrdinand the thing in which happened in the world which housrboy might be can be happened around you.
